I've tried to see an acceptable reason to use these collars but I'm afraid I can't.    joanne

I can't see the sense in hurting a dog to stop bad behaviour, there are kinder methods.   Jacky

I've read that less serious injuries are caused to dogs' necks by pinch collars than by choke chains, but I think both are unnecessary.  Electric shock collars could probably be used for matters of life and death, eg chasing snakes, but not otherwise.  Jackie

I do not agree with these 'training methods' at all. Surely it is best to train the dog? Otherwise we are going back to the 'Me human, you dog' days! Vicky
